Some people simply can’t stop Tweeting can they? Incidentally, don’t you think it should be called “twittering”. Maybe people wouldn’t be so keen to “Tweet” if they were called “twits” instead of “Tweeters”. Oh well, just a thought, now then, back to the subject in hand, the relationship between Google TV and Twitter.
Google TV Twitter
The fact remains that many people like to Tweet about TV shows, very often as they are watching them, so it was really only a matter of time before they became interlinked in this way. There’s also the way that Twittering, alright, Tweeting is becoming increasingly integrated with television shows as media companies find ways to incorporate Tweets into their programs. It makes us all feel like we’re a part of it doesn’t it, makes us feel like we can join in and have our voices heard.
The vast number of celebrity Tweeters (or T***s, no comment) has also helped to make it extremely socially acceptable. We seem to think that we’re all friends don’t we, they kind of lull us into this sense of them being accessible to us which only goes to increase their popularity. They’ve taken a lot of the fun away from the tabloid newspapers really, as very often they show unflattering photos of themselves way before the editor can shout “hold the front page” to make way for the paparazzi!
Google TV and Twitter
Google TV has joined forces with Twitter, bringing it onto a platform which successfully merges Internet and TV into one, unforgettable and life changing experience. It is easy to check through your Tweets, favorites and @mentions and if you do click onto a Tweet you can easily reply, share, reTweet it or put it into your favorites. Preinstalled onto Google TV it means that you’ll be able to share web pages, videos, pictures and lots of other stuff on Twitter with all of your Tweeting pals.
